KIDS’ DAY OUT! Marist to Host 25th Annual Youth Basketball Clinic

POUGHKEEPSIE (March 12, 2015) – The Marist College Red Foxes and the Office of Special Services will host the 25th annual “Kids’ Day Out!” Basketball Clinic on Sunday, March 29, at the James J. McCann Recreation Center on the Marist campus.

“Kids’ Day Out!” is a one-day developmental basketball clinic designed for children ages 7 through 17 that allows them to spend an afternoon learning the fundamental skills of basketball from players and coaches from Marist’s men’s and women’s basketball teams.

“Kids’ Day Out!” will host boys from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with registration beginning at 9:15 a.m., and girls from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., with registration beginning at 1:15 p.m.

The registration fee of $10 per participant will benefit the Marist College Scholarship for Students with Disabilities. Checks should be made payable to Marist College Special Services. Reservations are preferred. Walk-in registration is based upon availability.

A raffle will be held 15 minutes prior to each session. Snacks and “Kids’ Day Out!” T-shirts will be available for purchase. Those who bring college textbooks published within the past 5 years or DVDs to donate to the college’s book drive will receive a free raffle ticket – one ticket per family.
