Dutchess County EMS Task Force to Host Public Forum Tuesday In Amenia
National EMS Week Celebrated May 21-27

EMS Week

May 21-27 is National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week, dedicated to recognizing the tireless and important work of EMS practitioners in our community. We thank all the men and women in Dutchess County who’ve chosen to serve our community in this capacity by providing life-saving services to countless individuals each and every day.

Tomorrow, May 23rd, the Dutchess County EMS Task Force will host the first of two public forums to present the findings and recommendations of the EMS Task Force’s report, a data-intensive report outlining the current state of EMS in Dutchess County. The meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Amenia Town Hall, located at 4988 Route 22 in the Town of Amenia. The second meeting will be held on Thursday, June 1st at 7:00 p.m. at the Dutchess County Department of Emergency Response, located at 392 Creek Road in the Town of Hyde Park.

During the public forums, members of the EMS Task Force will present their findings, conclusions of the report and provide a review of the data for the entire county. Additionally, members will present the recommendations and next steps as described in the report.

“The men and women who dedicate their careers to Emergency Medical Services are to be commended. We are grateful to the many members of the EMS community who have volunteered to be part of the EMS Task Force to develop long-term solutions that are patient centered, reliable, consistent, affordable, and sustainable,” said County Executive Marc Molinaro.
