New York man charged following grand larceny investigation

PRESS RELEASE

Wappingers Falls, New York – The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations from the Wappinger barracks reports the arrest of Chem Davis, 20 years old, of New York, New York, for Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony.

Following a lengthy investigation, it was determined that Davis played a role in a fraudulent bank wire transfer sent in October of 2012, involving a Village of Wappingers Falls business. The victim sent a wire transfer in the amount of $33,000 to a Manhattan man’s account for the purchase of a 1936 Packard antique vehicle.

Davis was arraigned before the Village of Wappingers Falls Court and released on his own recognizance. Davis is scheduled to re-appear before the Wappingers Falls Court on April 14, 2015.

Davis’ arrest is the fourth arrest in this investigation. Melissa Fontana, David Milkis and Amadeus Knox were previously charged in connection with this criminal case.
