...Elevated Risk for Fire Spread Potential Saturday through Sunday
for the Hudson River Valley and Taconics of eastern New York...

New York fire weather officials have advised of an elevated risk
for fire spread through this upcoming weekend.

On Saturday, gusty south winds are expected from late morning
into the afternoon, combined with low relative humidity values
dropping to between 30 and 40 percent, and slightly above normal
temperatures reaching the lower to mid 60s.

For Sunday afternoon, winds will be gusty from the southwest, with
low relative humidity values of 35 to 45 percent expected in the
afternoon. In addition, temperatures are expected to be well above
normal, reaching into the 70s.
