Ossining man charged with Driving While Intoxicated following crash investigation

PRESS RELEASE

Mount Pleasant, New York – On March 6, 2015, the New York State Police in Hawthorne arrested Darren K. Walker, age 32, of Ossining, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor.

Troopers were dispatched to a personal injury auto accident that occurred on the Sprain Brook Parkway. Investigation revealed that Walker struck the rear of a vehicle and fled the scene of the crash. A Good Samaritan followed Walker and alerted Troopers to his location. Walker was found to be driving while intoxicated at the time of the crash.

Occupants of the vehicle struck by Walker were transported to Westchester Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Walker was also charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd Degree, Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Auto Accident, and other Vehicle and Traffic violations.

Walker supplied police with a breath sample that yielded a Blood Alcohol Content of .15% and was issued traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Mount Pleasant Court on March 19, 2015 at 9:30 a.m..
