Thankfully, Montana Is NOT Like Seattle

Yes, I heard about it—and it seems like everyone was talking about that ridiculous billboard in Seattle targeting the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels. If you missed it, Fox News summed it up best with their headline:

“Climate activists demand end to US Navy’s ‘Blue Angels’ airshow in Seattle”

Let me just say this loud and clear: thankfully, Montana is NOT like Seattle.

To me, that billboard and protest were just another stunt from a small group of left-wing activists desperate for attention. Sadly, it also reflects how far Seattle has strayed from common sense. I remember passing through Seattle during a layover after Cowboy Christmas in Las Vegas, and they were requiring vaccine passports just to sit down at a diner. Completely nuts!

Meanwhile, here in Montana, when the Blue Angels came through in 2023, the entire community came out to support them. And they noticed. The pilots, crew, and team members were all incredibly grateful for the warm welcome and genuine patriotism they felt across the state.

Blue Angels Returning in 2026

I’m thrilled to say that in Summer 2026, just in time for America’s 250th birthday, the Blue Angels are coming back to Montana. And honestly, I couldn’t be more excited. It was one of the highlights of my career to be one of only two media folks who got to fly with them during their last visit.

When I shared this news on Facebook, someone asked, “Why Billings?”

Here’s what I said:

“Two guys with an idea made it happen in 2023. The Blue Angels had such an incredible time and were treated so well… they’re coming back again… just three years later! Great question.”

That’s the Montana spirit. We don’t protest the military. We celebrate them, we honor them, and we make sure they know how much they’re appreciated. It’s a completely different world from the chaos we’ve come to expect from places like Seattle.

So let’s gear up for Summer 2026—and show the Blue Angels, once again, why Montana stands proudly with those who serve.
