Gloria Anna Marie (Stocker) Dorn, 86, peacefully passed away surrounded by her daughters and sister, on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Danbury Hospital. Gloria was born on September 26, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, the Rev. Paul C. Dorn of Brookfield, CT; and her daughters, Katherine Dorn Lewis of Danbury, CT, Beth Trott of Sherman, CT; and Carol Dorn of Danbury, CT, and her sister Evelyn Ryan of Bethel, CT. In addition she is also survived by her sons-in-law Jay Trott and Eric Lewis, as well as her grandchildren and grandsons-in-law, Meg and Seth Maset, Rachel and David Velazquez, Gwendolyn Trott, and Samuel Trott, as well as two great-granddaughters, Lucia and Elliana Velazquez, and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Gloria led a long and beautiful life, and spread her love and compassion to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched. The family is very grateful to the staff at the Danbury Hospital CCU for their dedicated and loving care of Gloria. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the following: New Milford Visiting Nurse Association, The Sherman Volunteer Fire Department, Danbury Hospital, Immanuel Lutheran Church, and FISH of Sherman. A memorial service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 18 Clapboard Ridge Road, Danbury, CT 06811 on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11am.
