Ulster Man Arrested For Criminal Possession of Marijuana

On March 6, 2015 the New York State Police – Bureau of Criminal Investigation at SP Kingston arrested KURT T. QUARANTINO of Ulster for the Felony of Criminal Possession of Marijuana First Degree.
The New York State Police intercepted a package being shipped by a private shipping company which contained a large quantity of marijuana. Investigators assigned to the Kingston and Catskill Barracks assisted by the Community Narcotics Enforcement Team attempted to deliver the package to QUARANTINO. A member of the State Police acting in an undercover capacity delivered the package to QUARANTINO who signed for receipt of the package before immediately being taken into custody by other members at the scene. The package was found to contain approximately 25 pounds of marijuana.
QUARANTINO was charged with the felony of Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the First Degree. He was arraigned in the Town of Ulster Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail $50,000 secure bond.
