Everett Richard Ballard, 73, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, NY.
Previously a resident of Towners, he has been a resident of Holmes since 1989. Born in Mahopac on May 19, 1943, he was one of three sons born to the late Everett and Ruth (Ellis) Ballard.
Richard was a teamster employed by Whalens Moving & Storage in Mt. Kisco. He enjoyed going to car shows and taking care of his house and lawn.
He is survived by his two brothers, Leigh Ballard of Towners and Douglas (Catherine) Ballard of Holmes; his niece, Meaghan (Chris) George and grandnieces Sarah & Hannah of New Milford, CT, his nephew, Terrance Ballard of Holmes, and by Shawne, Wendi, and Connor Maile of Pawling .
Family and friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY, Friday, March 10, 2017 from 9-11 AM, with a funeral service at the funeral home at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Raymond Hill Cemetery, Carmel, NY.
