George E. Perrault, 72, a resident of Pawling, NY since 1977, passed away Thursday, March 5th, 2015 at the Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY.

Previously of Somers, NY, he was born in Somers on January 22, 1943 to the late George E. Perrault, Sr. and Helen (Gast) Perrault. His father, George, Sr., was a US Marine during WWII, killed in action on Iwo Jima when George was 18 months old.

George married Evelyn Woolley in Somers on October 6, 1973 at the Woolley family’s farm. George was a construction worker for Local 137 in Pleasantville, NY and later had his own construction business, Perrault Excavation.

George was extremely creative and loved to build things; he had also invented many things, such as air sneakers. George was coach of the East Fishkill Travel Team Stingers soccer team, and was always at his sons’ sports games.

George is survived by his wife, Evelyn; his two sons, Adam George Perrault and his significant other, Karen, of East Fishkill, NY and John Henry Perrault and his fiancé Christine, of Patterson, NY; two brothers, John Leonard of Worchester, NY and Michael Leonard and his wife, Mary, of Pleasant Valley, NY; a sister, Helen Howe of Middletown, NY; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a sister, Georgette Marie Turner.

A Celebration of George’s life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 starting at 3 PM at the Woolley residence, 14 Tanner Drive, Poughquag, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations in George’s memory may be made to Love of Animals Rescue, Mahopac, c/o Rosanna 282-0771.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY.
