Kinderhook man arrested for wielding fire stoker during argument over feline

PRESS RELEASE

On 3/5/15 at approximately 8:30 am Troopers from the Troop K Kinderhook barracks responded to a 911 call for a reported domestic dispute between multiple family members. Upon arrival it was determined that a physical altercation was occurring between two adult brothers.

The investgation revealed that family members were involved in an argument of the vetrinarian care of several felines in the residence. The argument progressed to a point that the defendant Daniel Greene, 48 of Santa Barabara, Ca. utilized a metal rod to threaten his brother. The argument and physical altercation resulted in the victim being injured and receiving medical care.

SP Livingston BCI responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.

Mr. Greene was arrested at the scene and transported to SP Kinderhook where he was charged with once count each of Menacing 2nd, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Assault 3rd. All charges are Class A Misdemeanors.

He was arraigned in the Town of Kinderhook Court in front of Hon. Lisa Mills. He was remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $500 bail and set to return on March 24 at 6:00 pm.
