The Town of Pawling is seeking applications from individuals interested in serving as a
part-time Zoning Administrator. This position is responsible for administering the
provisions of the zoning ordinances and issuing land-use permits, sign permits, and
special-use permits in the Town of Pawling. This position differs from the Building
Inspector by insuring compliance only to zoning ordinances.

Applicants must have the following minimum qualifications:
Graduated from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university with a
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Science, or Planning.

-OR Graduation
from a high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and
four (4) years of full-time experience in zoning administration, inspection work
concerning buildings or a related field that involved substantial contact with the
concepts of zoning administration.

-OR An
equivalent combination of the training and experience as indicated above.
