Warm Up at Super Bowl Chili Cook Off

Pawling Public Radio (WPWL) is hosting a Super Bowl Chili Cook Off on Saturday January 28, 2017.  The fundraiser to benefit the radio station, will be held at the Pawling Firehouse on South Street in the Village of Pawling from 6 to 9 p.m.

There will be two cooking categories, with meat and without. Entrees will be judged on taste, consistency and aroma. Amateur cooks 21 years of age or older may enter up to three chilies, but each will count as one entry. The fee to enter is $20 for each chili.

First place winners in each category will receive a $100 cash prize, a plaque, and bragging rights. There will also be certificates for 2nd and 3rd place, and People’s Choice.

An entrance fee of $5 per person will be charged. Kids under 10 and adults over 65 are free! There will be chili samples, live music, local “celebrity” judges, a Super Bowl Box, and a 50/50.  Raffle prizes will include a 4-pack of Aladdin Broadway tickets, and a real flight simulator ride.

WPWL 103.7 LP-FM is a non-profit, self-supporting organization funded entirely by community contributions, sponsorships and grants.
