Traffic Stop Leads to Gun Arrest

PRESS RELEASE
On Friday January 13th, State Police arrested Thomas F. Swartley of Green Lane, Pennsylvania for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree. Subsequent to a vehicle and traffic stop for speeding and illegaly towing a trailer on the Taconic State Parkway in the Town of Milan, Swartley was found to possess a loaded handgun without a NYS Pistol permit. Swartley was arraigned at the Village of Rhinebeck court where he was released on his own recognizance.
