Milton Man Arrested on Multiple Drug and Weapon Charges

MILTON — A Milton resident is facing a series of serious charges following a lengthy narcotics investigation conducted by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities arrested Timothy J. Wilbur, 33, on Thursday, after executing a search warrant at his residence.


Extensive Drug Charges Filed

Wilbur has been charged with a total of 15 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, as well as two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree. Both charges are classified as Class B felonies under New York State law.

According to law enforcement, Wilbur is accused of knowingly and unlawfully possessing:

  • A narcotic drug with an aggregate weight of one-half ounce or more

  • A stimulant weighing one gram or more, with the intent to sell

In addition to possession, he is also alleged to have unlawfully sold a narcotic drug, further deepening the severity of the charges.


Weapon Possession Added to Charges

During the search of Wilbur’s home, deputies discovered a switchblade knife, leading to an additional charge of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree, a Class A misdemeanor. Possession of such weapons is prohibited under New York State law.


Arrest Follows Lengthy Investigation

The arrest stems from a long-term investigation by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office into suspected illegal drug activity in the region. After gathering sufficient evidence, law enforcement officials obtained a search warrant, which was executed at Wilbur’s residence without incident.


Court Appearance and Release

Wilbur was arraigned before Judge Timothy M. Brown at the Milton Town Court. Despite the seriousness of the charges, he was released on his own recognizance, pending future court proceedings. A specific date for his next appearance has not yet been disclosed.


Ongoing Investigation

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the case and urges residents to report any suspected illegal drug activity. Authorities have not ruled out the possibility of further charges or additional arrests as the investigation unfolds.
