Obituary, Frank N. Marici M.D.

 

Frank N. Marici M.D. of New Milford, CT, passed away Monday January 9, 2017 at New Milford Hospital  at the age of 86.

He was born June 16, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Anthony and Concetta (Guifre) Marici. He graduated from the New York Military Academy in 1948 and in 1957 he graduated Medical School from the University of Podovia in Italy. Dr. Marici married Thelma “Teddi” Gould on November 21, 1964 at St. Mary’s Church in Roslyn, NY. He practices Medicine at St. Francis Hospital in New York where they also lived until he retired in 2004 after 46years. After retirement they moved to New Milford, CT. While working at St. Francis Dr. Marici invented flexable fiber optic bronchoscope. He lectured and taught Internist on how to use the scope. He was also a pilot and owned a WWII Fiat G46 Italian fighter plane that now sites at the Military Air Museum in Virginia Beach, VA.
Besides his wife Teddi Dr. Marici is survived by his son Christopher Marici and his wife Doris of Lake Ariel, PA, his brother Edward A. Marici of New Milford, CT and many nieces and nephews one of them being a local Dr. in New Milford, Kenneth Marici.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Church in Sherman, CT on Saturday January 14, 2017 at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Center Cemetery in New Milford, CT. Calling hours will be held at 58 Bridge Street, New Milford, CT from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm Friday January 13, 2017.
