Obituary, Patsy L. Llanes

 

Patsy L. Llanes, 75, formerly a longtime resident of Pawling, NY, died from heart failure on Saturday, December 24, 2016. Born on February 13, 1941, in Ingalls, NC, she was the daughter of the late William Wiseman and Dora (White) Hamwey. On June 24, 1962, she married Thomas (Tom) Llanes, and moved to Fort Dix, NJ while Tom completed his service in the Army. In 1964, they moved to Pawling to raise a family.

In addition to being a homemaker and loving mother for her family, Mrs. Llanes pursued many passions. Among them were art, singing, photography, cooking, and tennis.

Mrs. Llanes is survived by her two sisters, Donna Butner, of Jackonsville, AL, and Lydia Williams, of Poughquag, NY, her two brothers, William Wiseman, of Fort Mills, SC, and John Phillips, of Cullowhee, NC, two daughters, Lisa Simpson, of Poughkeepsie, NY, and Sue Smith, of Pleasant Valley, NY, and her two sons, Chris Llanes, of Poughquag, NY, and Mike Llanes, of Millbrook, NY. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Hope Ryan, and brother Frank Wiseman.

Mrs. Llanes was cremated and there are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 10am on January 14th, 2017, at the Beekman Baptist Church (1068 Beekman Rd, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533), followed by a celebration of her life by friends and family at the Stormville Firehouse (112 Old Route 52, Stormville, NY 12582), beginning at noon.
