Holiday Tales: Read and performed by Marian Grudko

On Sunday, December 11, 2016, Marian Grudko performed one of her classic dramatic readings for children and adults at the Pawling Library.  She began her presentation with a reading of Harriet, a short story she wrote, based on true events, of a praying mantis rescued from an early frost.  Right from the start the audience was still and focused, captivated by her words and theatrical ability as she transformed into each character from this story and those that followed. For the last tale entitled A Pony, a Bunny, and Sometimes a Turtle, by Elan Peacepipe, the children darted forward to be as close as they could be to Ms. Grudko..  They sat on the floor with smiles that widened; their expressions identical to the adults around them.
