“Dutchess County is proud to have helped the Mid-Hudson region secure more funding than any other region in the state. Projects in Dutchess County will receive $12.3 million, almost 15 percent of the Mid-Hudson’s award, including more than $7 million for projects in the City of Poughkeepsie, which plays a vital role in our county’s future success.

Assistant County Executive Ronald Hicks represents Dutchess County on the Regional Council and annually leads our efforts to secure the most funding, helping to create jobs and enhance the lives of our residents. We will continue our work to attract and retain industry and the high-paying jobs that accompany it.

We are grateful to Gov. Cuomo for his continued commitment to our region as Dutchess County continues growing our local economy. We appreciate the support we’ve received today – validation our business attraction endeavors have been successful and can be replicated throughout New York.”
