Pittsfield – Stephen Leonard Way, 55, of 89 Robbins Ave., Pittsfield, died at home on November 29, 2016. Born in Sharon, CT., on December 11, 1960, the son of the late Thomas L. and Stella E. Taylor Way. He was educated in Dover Plains New York schools.

Stephen was most recently employed as a Housekeeper for EPOCH Assisted Living at Melbourne in Pittsfield.

Stephen was a best friend to everyone, enjoyed biking, NASCAR and his favorite driver was Jeff Gordon, he was a New York Giants football fan and New York Mets baseball fan, he also enjoyed following the local Pittsfield baseball teams.

He is survived by his wife; the former Tracey L. Vickery, whom he married June 28, 1986, his son; Tyler T. Way and his companion Emily Tinan of Pittsfield, three sisters; Linda Miller and her husband Ellwood Jr. (Jake) of Wingdale, N.Y., Betty Stevens and her husband Larry of Wingdale, N.Y. and Peggy Way of Virginia, his brother Thomas Way and his wife Chris of Bryan, TX., his sister-in-law’s; Linda Wood of Pittsfield and Kelly Wood of Dover Plains, N.Y., his great-great nephew; Jacob Malloy of Adams, MA and his godson; Corey C. LeCroy of Adams; his great-nephews; Everett Wood of Dover Plains, N.Y., Otto Wood of Dover Plains, N.Y. and Dennis Leger of Pittsfield, many other nieces and nephews and a great-niece that is to be born next year.

He was pre-deceased by a sister; Debbie A. Way.

Funeral Notice: Funeral Services for Stephen Leonard Way, 55, who died November 29, 2016 will be private and at the convenience of the family.
