Obituary, Christopher C. Osborne

 

Christopher C. Osborne, 71, a long-time resident of Pawling, passed away Wednesday. November 30, 2016 at Putnam Hospital Center, Carmel, NY.

Born on September 3, 1945 in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, England, he was the son of George Henry Osborne and Violet Winskill, who met in England while George was stationed there in WWII.

Chris worked in the power plant at Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center, Wingdale before he retired and was a member of the C.S.E.A.

Chris had a great sense of humor and enjoyed hunting and fishing; Chris was also a talented carpenter.

He is survived by two sons, Edward and wife, Joanna, of Holmes and Chris, Jr. of Pawling; his daughter, Catherine Osborne, also of Pawling; his brother George Osborne, and his wife, Lori, of Graham, NC, and his sister, Victoria Dumas and her husband, Dan, of Pawling; three grandchildren, Joseph, Jaden, and Julianna; a nephew and two nieces; and many, many friends.

A celebration of Chris’s life will be held Sunday, December 4th at the Pawling Fire house 2-4 PM.
