State Police Monroe investigate the death of a Monroe man

On October 14, 2016, State Police at the Monroe barracks received a call from the White Plains Federal Pre-Trial Office to check the welfare of Alfred Ramirez, age 78. Troopers were advised that Mr. Ramirez’s GPS ankle location device stopped sending information. At approximately 9:30 AM, Troopers arrived at Pinehurst Ridge, Monroe, NY to check the welfare of Mr. Ramirez. There was no response from inside the residence and it appeared all of the doors were locked. Troopers were able to make entry into the residence through a kitchen window. Mr Ramirez was located deceased inside the residence and at this time, no foul play is suspected. The investigation is ongoing and a final determination into the cause of death is pending an autopsy and toxicology report.
