Remembering September 11th
A Message from County Executive Marc Molinaro
In the hours that followed the attacks, we witnessed the selflessness and heroism of first responders. We saw the decency and compassion of ordinary individuals acting to help in extraordinary ways.
In the silence of the nights following September 11th, 2001, you could hear the heartbeat of a nation, in the star filled sky you could see the soul of a country and at daybreak you could feel the courage of a people rising again.
If only, we could recapture that spirit without the specter of fear, anguish and destruction.
As we remember September 11th, 2001, may that tragedy always serve as a reminder to each of us to demonstrate kindness and compassion to one another, to cherish our loved ones, and always be grateful we live in this great country.”
