State Police arrest Coxsackie man for sexual assault of a child

On 02/24/15, The New York State Police at Catskill and the Greene County District Attorney’s Office report the arrest of ANTONIO J SMITH, age 32, of Coxsackie, NY, for three counts of Rape in the third degree(class E Felony).
SMITH was arrested after an investigation into a report of the sexual abuse of a child. State Police allege that SMITH had a sexual relationship including sexual intercourse with a female less than 17 years old at a private residence in the Town of Coxsackie over a course of several years.
SMITH was indicted by a Greene County Grand Jury on February 20, 2015 with a subsequent Arrest Warrant issued by Greene County Court Judge TERRY WILHELM. SMITH was transported directly to the Greene County Jail and arraigned on 02/25/15 and remanded to the Greene County Jail with no bail. Further charges are pending.
