You can still RSVP for Dutchess County’s Special Needs Picnic

Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Freedom Park in LaGrange

There’s still time to RSVP for Dutchess County’s 4th Annual Picnic for Children with Special Needs. This free event takes place this coming Tuesday, Aug. 16, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Freedom Park in LaGrange. You can register by clicking here.

In addition to a menu that includes kid favorites like hamburgers, hot dogs and macaroni & cheese, there will also be live music and fun activities! Children can meet a four-legged K-9 officer from the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office and a therapy dog; they can touch a truck from the Dutchess County Department of Public Works and a firetruck from the LaGrange Fire District; the Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum will bring its “Imagination Playground,” which is fun and educational; and there will be other fun activities like coloring and face-painting!

Families will also be able to connect with local service providers in the area. Space is limited, so click here to RSVP and reserve your spot.
