Poughkeepsie man charged with Endangering the Welfare of an Incompetent Person in Amenia

PRESS RELEASE

Wassaic, New York – On August 9, 2016, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at Dover Plains, in conjunction with the New York State Justice Center, arrested Eric Kellerhouse, age 37, of Poughkeepsie, New York, and charged him with Endangering the Welfare of an Incompetent Person in the 1st Degree (Class E Felony) and Harassment 2nd Degree (Violation).

On July 21, 2016 the New York State Police commenced an investigation into a complaint from a resident of the Taconic DDSO Riverview IRA located in Amenia, NY.  The investigation revealed that on July 17, 2016 an employee at the home, Kellerhouse, struck a resident several times after the resident refused to follow directions.

Kellerhouse was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Amenia Court on August 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.
