PRESS RELEASE

On February 23, 2015, New York State Police in Brewster charged Kevin Salaverria, 28 years old, of White Plains, New York with Unlawful Possession of Personal Identification Information and Offering a False Instrument for Filing, both Class A Misdemeanors.

The investigation revealed that Salaverria was using an unsuspecting person’s New York State Driver’s License during traffic stops in other states. This person became suspicious when he began receiving court notices for traffic violations from unfamiliar jurisdictions in which he had never traveled.

Law enforcement in New Jersey and Ohio assisted with the investigation and identifying Salaverria. These other agencies are pursuing their own criminal charges against Salaverria.

Salaverria was arrested at his home, processed at the Hawthorne State Police barracks and issued Appearance Tickets directing him to appear in the Town of Southeast Court on March 5, 2015.
