Obituary, Michael Joseph Gadomski

 

Heaven got a little brighter, earth a little dimmer on Monday, June 13, 2016. Michael Joseph Gadomski passed peacefully into eternal life at the age of 72 at The Villages, Florida where he has called home for the past 5 ½ years.

Michael was born on December 16, 1943 In Manhattan, N.Y. He graduated from the NYSP academy and proudly served as a NYS Trooper for over 33 years. In 2005 he retired as a Sergeant and Station Commander having spent most of his career in troop K. Formerly of Pawling, NY, he moved to Florida following retirement where he lived life to the fullest.

Michael married the love of his life Elin (Barker) who survives him. On this date, Michael also became a loving father to her three children from a previous marriage. He is survived by and will be deeply missed by the children he loved as his own; Jeff (Jeanette) Moberg of Sherman, C.T, Wendy (John) Chadnick of Brewster, N.Y. and Scott (Lora) Moberg of Waxhaw, N.C. He is also survived by his grandchildren who he was so proud of and whom always brought a smile to his face; Trygve and Anika Moberg; Kelly, Stephanie and Sarah Chadnick; David, Charlie and Cooper Moberg. He will be truly missed by his many friends and colleagues whose lives he has touched over the years.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time, all are welcome to attend. The family would like to thank everyone for their condolences and outpouring of love. Anyone wishing to make a contribution in Michael’s memory may do so to a charity of your choice .
