Dutchess County residents with unwanted medications can get rid of them safely at a
“Shed the Meds” event Thursday in Beekman this Thursday.
The drop-off will allow those with expired or unwanted medications to dispose of them in a safe and secure way, in an effort to keep unused prescription drugs off of streets and out of the hands of children.
The event is sponsored by the Town of Beekman and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Department along with the Council on Addiction, Prevention and Educate and local elected officials.
The drop-off begins at 9 a.m. at Beekman Town Hall.
