Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Carmel woman on a charge of unlicensed operation.
On February 20, 2015, Deputy Sheriff Brian Aisenstat stopped a motorist who had committed traffic violations on Route 6 in the Town of Carmel. The deputy determined that the driver, identified as Alexandra M. Albano-Richardson, 24, of 16 Mechanic Street, Carmel held a suspended license. The deputy arrested Ms. Albano-Richardson and charged her with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree, a misdemeanor. The defendant was processed at the scene and released in her own recognizance pending a March 23, 2015 appearance in the Town of Carmel Justice Court to answer the charge.
If found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, the defendant could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.00 for each charge.
