2016 SUNY New Paltz Scholarships

NEW PALTZ, NY (07/14/2016)– SUNY New Paltz celebrates students who received scholarships during the 2015-2016 academic year, including:

Sean Contreras of Stormville , who was awarded the Patricia ’62 and Charles Wilson Annual Retirement Scholarship and the Van Lare Family Endowed Scholarship

Edward De Ramon of Poughquag , who was awarded the Fleet Bank Endowed Scholarship

Tara Severance of Patterson , who was awarded the Honors Recruitment Scholarship

Hope Still of Dover Plains, who was awarded the Institute for Disaster Mental Health Scholarship

During the 2015-16 academic year, the SUNY New Paltz Foundation provided student scholarship awards totaling nearly $300,000 to 171 student recipients. The College guaranteed four-year awards to an additional 123 students through institutional funds.

At a spring semester reception held in the gallery rotunda of the Fine Arts Building, student scholarship recipients were afforded an opportunity to personally thank many of the donors, alumni and SUNY New Paltz Foundation Board members who have made direct contributions to their academic success.
