Jean E. Mattiace, age 84, of Putnam Lake, NY, died on Saturday July 9, 2016 at home with her family by her side.
Mrs. Mattiace was born on March 26, 1932 in Bronx, New York to Pietro and Carmela (Richardelli) DeSantis.
On September 20, 1953 she married John Peter Mattiace at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Bronx, NY. He predeceased her on September 1, 1998.
Jean was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, Patterson, NY and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America at Sacred Heart Church. She was an active member in the Senior Citizens of Putnam Lake.
Mrs. Mattiace is survived by her four children; John (Isabel) Mattiace, Frank (Stephanie) Mattiace, Carl Mattiace and Teresa (Jerry) Nardelli, 11 grandchildren; Giovanni, Matthew, Jessica, Jeanne, Ceanna, Stephen, Peter, Janine, Crystal and John, 10 great grandchildren and her 2 siblings; Angelo DeSantis and Yolanda Cinquemani. She was predeceased by her grandson Carl and her daughter in law Dorothy
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 14, 2016 10:30 pm at Sacred Heart Church, Patterson, NY. Interment will follow at Milltown Rural Cemetery, Brewster, NY. Friends may call at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY on Wednesday 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm.
In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 414 Haviland Drive, Patterson, NY.
