Tickets are now on sale for Spotlight Arts’ production of GREASE and these performances are “Summer Nights” that you don’t want to miss! GREASE opens next week at New Fairfield High School and is a classic musical comedy that is set in 1959 and follows a group of teenagers as they try to find their way through high school. Evoking the look and sound of the 1950s, this fun-filled musical recalls the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation.

There are two casts consisting of 50 talented local students from Putnam, Westchester, Dutchess and Fairfield counties: Hannah Pucci of Danbury, CT; Stephanie Coraci of Ridgefield, CT; Emma Duffy of New Fairfield, CT; Noah Emke, Noah Pieratti and Jessica Tocci of Pawling, NY; Samantha Altman, Julie Daza, Asher Duke, Hannah Martin, Michaela Milmerstadt, Stephanie Ricker and Anthony Velez of Carmel, NY; Kelli Rabasco of Poughquag, NY; Joe Castellano, Crystal Colon, Bridget Courtney, Sarah Daleo and Erin Vaughan of Patterson, NY; Aaron Lurin, Joe Likens, Michael Malanga, Megan Campbell, Layla MacDonald, Erin Kirkpatrick, RJ Frankenberry, Sydney Gershon, Cecilia Guida, Grace Curley, Michael Seaman, Grace Lara, Caitlin Otto, Tommy Froessel, Carly Guida, Sarah Borsari, Izzy Izaguirre, Jaclyn Anderek, Emily Sullivan, Grace Stathatos, Charlie Fitzpatrick, Rhiana Brennan, Gunnar Gabriel, Tommy Froessel, Marisa Milani, Gillian Anderson, Katie Thompson, Jennifer DeSantis, Juliene Gabriel, Danielle Castellano, Kaitlin Balfe and Brandon Salamone of Brewster, NY.

Students have had a blast so far playing their characters while expanding their theatre education and improving on skills. “It’s been so amazing seeing everyone transform into these characters from the fifties. Just watching the first rehearsals without costumes or sets, you already felt like you were there in the halls of Rydell High,” explains Sarah Daleo of Patterson who plays Miss Lynch in both casts. Brandon Salamone, who plays Danny Zuko in cast B, further adds, “Danny Zuko has been one of the hardest characters to embody. The character work done at rehearsal is definitely the most valuable to me. Being surrounded by such a talented cast has been a huge help as well.”

Spotlight Arts Inc. production of GREASE will grace the New Fairfield High School stage next week: Cast A performs on July 21 at 7:30pm and July 23 at 2:00pm. Cast B performs on July 22 and July 23 at 7:30pm; 54 Gilotti Rd, New Fairfield, CT 06812. Seating is reserved and tickets cost $10 when you buy them online before July 20th. Ticket prices go up to $15 when you buy them at the door at any performance. Tickets can be purchased at www.SpotlightArtsInc.com.
