Poughkeepsie man charged with entering Bedford Hills Correctional Facility with marihuana

PRESS RELEASE

Bedford, New York – On February 23, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Somers barracks arrested David S. Green, 28 years old, of Poughkeepsie, New York, for Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a Violation.

Troopers were dispatched to the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility to assist the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision with the arrest of a visitor who entered the facility with approximately 10 grams of Marihuana. Green was transported to the Somers barracks where he was processed on the above charges.

The New York State Police were assisted by the NYS DOCCS Office of Special Investigations.

Green was arraigned before the Town of Somers Court and released on $100 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear before the Town of Bedford Court on February 26, 2015.
