Troopers arrest Wurtsboro man for sexual assault of 12 year old.

PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Police, at Wurtsboro, announce the arrest of James J Pelliccia, age 69, of Wurtsboro for Sexual Abuse 1st, a felony and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a misdemeanor.

The arrest resulted from a report of abuse made to the state Child Abuse Hotline by a 12 year old alleging a sexual assault. The investigation culminated with the arrest of Pelliccia, who is accused of having sexual contact with the child in January of this year.

Pelliccia was arraigned before Town of Mamakating Town Justice Cynthia Dolan who remanded Pelliccia to the Sullivan County Jail without bail.
