ARREST: Detectives from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office report the arrest of a Liberty man following an investigation into a larceny report in the Town of Wawarsing.
On December 18, 2014 members from this agency began investigating a larceny of jewelry and coins from a residence in the Town of Wawarsing. Detectives later determined Alain R. Delmont, 46, of Liberty, stole the property between October and December of 2014.
Mr. Delmont was charged with three counts each of the misdemeanors of Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree. It was also discovered he was a parole absconder and currently wanted by New York State Parole.
Mr. Delmont was arraigned in Wawarsing Town Court and remanded without bail to the Ulster County Jail.
