Wallkill Man Arrested for Drug Possession

PRESS RELEASE 

The New York State Police at Ellenville announce the arrest of Leroy W. Degroodt, age 54, from Wallkill, New York for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, a Felony and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a Misdemeanor.

On May 31, 2016 Members of SP Ellenville conducted a vehicle and traffic stop on Clove Rd, in the Town of Rochester, County of Ulster, New York.  Subsequent to a probable cause search, over 0.5 grams of cocaine and a small quantity of marijuana was located.

On May 31, 2016 Leroy Degroodt was arrested and processed at SP Ellenville.  Degroodt was arraigned in the Town of Rochester Court before Town Justice Albert Babcock.  Degroodt was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to return  in the Town of Rochester Court on June 1, 2016 at 6:00 PM.
