1. Today is an “A” Day.

2. Reminder that a middle school Yearbook meeting will be held tomorrow in room 1093.

3. SAT Word of the Day: INFAMY  – The word means reputation brought about by something grossly criminal, shocking, or brutal.

4   . Attention Seniors – Many scholarships have a due date of June1st! Get those applications turned into the guidance office.

5. There will be Volleyball open gym today in the high school gym from 2-3:30 pm. Any questions please see Ms. Fisher. All high school and middle school students and volleyball players are welcome!

6. Attention all girls interested in playing girls Varsity Soccer next year, there will be a meeting after school on Wednesday in Mr. Esposito’s room.

7.  Are you looking for summer work? There is a job opportunity for our students this summer. The job is through Metro Golf and the Golfworks Foundation. They are in charge of summer golf course employment at Silo Ridge in Amenia. Questions and applications can be picked up in the guidance office!

8. Attention all Sophomores and Juniors – Summer Scholar applications are now available in the high school guidance office. Summer Scholars is a summer program offered at Dutchess Community College from July 31st to August 5th. The program title “Global Terrorism: Causes and Consequences” is designed to challenge high school students. If you are interested in this program, please come to the guidance office to pick up an application packet. Applications are due in the guidance office by Wednesday, June 1st – NO EXCEPTIONS – so plan accordingly.

9. Voting for the cutest Pet Photo will end on today. The winner will be announced on Wednesday. Only 1 day left to get your votes in!

10. National Junior Honor Society Food Drive – If you missed out on winning the door decorating contest, here’s another chance for your homeroom! The homeroom class who brings in the most cans/dry goods wins a pizza party or breakfast! Let the battle of the cans begin!! Also, for every item you bring in, a raffle ticket will be put into a raffle for an Amazon gift card. The more you donate, the more chances you have!

11. The Million Word Challenge ends June 3rd. So far we’ve read about 50 million words! Congratulations and keep reading.
 
12. Cosplay Club: Today is our final presentation of the school year. You should come! See Ms. Deon for information.
 
13. Music Man: All cast and crew stay after every day this week! Today from 2-5 pm, Wednesday and Thursday from 2-8 pm. Two weeks left before show time! Let’s pull this together.
 
14. Attention all high school students – especially Seniors! There are only 30 yearbooks left! Order yours today before you miss out! They are $75, you may bring cash to Ms. Wool or write a check to Dover High School Yearbook. Nobody ever regretted buying their yearbook!
