State Police at Liberty Arrest Local PBA Treasurer For Embezzlement

On May 22, 2016 State Police at Liberty arrested Patti Lovelace, age 60 of Eldred, NY for stealing funds from the Village of Liberty Police PBA during her tenure as treasurer for the union. At the time of her arrest, Lovelace was employed as a dispatcher for the Village of Liberty Police Department. An investigation by union officials and State Police determined that during the course of the past two years, Lovelace stole approximately $13,000 from union accounts.
Lovelace was charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, a felony. She was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and released on her own recognizance pending future court proceedings.
