Mahopac Man Facing Drug Charge

 

 

 

Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports that Mr. Kyle R. Heady, aged 27, was arrested on a drug possession charge in Mahopac on Friday, May 6, 2016.

Members of the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Enforcement Unit arrested Mr. Heady at about 5:30 A.M. on Friday. He was taken into custody outside his home at 254 Wixon Pond Road in Mahopac and charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony.

Mr. Heady is accused of possessing heroin. He is reportedly on state parole for a prior criminal conviction and thus he could also face a charge of violating the conditions of his parole.

The defendant was arraigned before Carmel Town Justice Thomas Jacobellis and was remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000.00 cash bail or $50,000.00 bail bond. He could receive up to nine years in prison if convicted on the drug charge.
