The New York State Police in Haverstraw are investigating a one car fatal accident on the Palisades Parkway in the Town of Haverstraw North of exit 13.
On May 2, 2016 at approximately 5:55 a.m. the State Police responded to a one car fatal accident on the Palisades Parkway in the Town of Haverstraw. The vehicle was traveling north when it veered off the west shoulder, traveled through the grassy median and impacted a tree. The operator of the vehicle Myrian Romero, 31 of Union City, New Jersey, was extricated from the vehicle by the Hillcrest Fire Department and pronounced deceased at the scene by the Rockland County Medical Examiner.
