Softball’s Erin Wood Wood Named to All-Northeast-10 Second Team
“Erin Wood enjoyed a breakout season as a senior at Franklin Pierce University, in which she established new program records for career home runs (18) and home runs in a season (9).
While playing in 36 of the team’s 37 games, she hit .426/.457/.815 (46-for-108) with 15 doubles — also a program record — and nine home runs.
Wood (a 2012 graduate of Dover HS, ) scored 19 runs, drove in a team-best 29, drew four walks, struck out 13 times and stole one base along the way. She currently ranks seventh in the nation in doubles per game (0.42) and 15th in slugging percentage.
Within the Northeast-10, she ranks first in doubles, second in slugging percentage, tied for second in home runs, third in batting average, seventh in on-base percentage, tied for seventh in runs batted in and tied for 10th in hits.”
