We were thrilled with the opening of Dutchess Handmade, a pop-up shop featuring local artists’ work in glass, greeting cards, home décor items and jewelry – Mother’s Day is coming up soon, along with graduations and Father’s Day. We invite you to experience creative gifts for these occasions andshop local at the Arts Mid-Hudson gallery.
Don’t miss classical rockstar, pianist Jeremy Denk, presented by the Pawling Concert Series onFriday, April 29 at 8 p.m.  in the Gardiner Theater  on the campus of Trinity-Pawling School. Adult tickets are $30, students $15 and those 12 years and under are free.
This Saturday, celebrate Independent Bookstore Day at Oblong Books & Music stores in Millerton and Rhinebeck starting at 10:00 a.m. Enjoy complimentary snacks; exclusive merchandise, plus the chance to win nifty discounts and engage in fun activities taking place throughout the day in both stores.
On Sunday from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. , travel to Tivoli to see the passion and beauty of Flamenco Vivo/Carlota Santana at Kaastbaan.

Inspired by the natural and artificial matter we come in contact with on a daily basis, Roxie Johnson incorporates rudimentary printmaking techniques with a variety of
water-based media to create a multi-layered and intimate textural experience for the viewer. Images form where physical and emotional connections to the environment begin to emerge.

WITH GALINA KRASSKOVA
Krasskova will read selections from her published work and will also give attendees a sneak peak at selections from a currently in-progress book of poetry.   After the reading, guests will be invited to a mini-poetry workshop, where they will explore the world of words through fun exercises designed to unlock their inner poets.

FRANCESCO ATTESTI: DEEPLY MOZART, VIEWING, DISCUSSION & SIGNING
Join Merritt Bookstore as they welcome Mr Attesti as well as discuss and view selections from his new Deeply Mozart, DVD. Filmed during a live performance of Mozart concertos: K449 Piano in E Flat Major and K488 in A Major, the performance took place inside the beautiful and historic Palazzone estate, in Cortona, Italy.

THE NEWBURGH OPEN MOVEMENT
This series of movement improvisation workshops and open movement jams is about creating safe, fun and inclusive space for people from all backgrounds and abilities to express themselves through dance and mindful movement and experience conscious and creative connection to others. Most of all, it’s a fun and inspiring way to cultivate your mindfulness and take part in healthy movement activities. It’s also an incredible opportunity to come together as a community and experience one another in a creative and deeply human way. This program was partially funded by the DEC Program.

This original three act ballet by Hudson Valley composer & choreographer
