Kent Man Charged With Criminal Mischief, Larceny

Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Kent man on charges of criminal mischief and larceny.

On Saturday, February 7, 2015, members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department arrested Michael J. Bullis, 25, of 18A Richardsville Road, Kent and charged him with two counts of Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, a misdemeanor. The arrest was made after it was determined that Mr. Bullis was responsible for cutting four tires on two separate vehicles at a location on Bryant Pond Road in the Town of Putnam Valley in February of 2014. Mr. Bullis was additionally charged with petit larceny for stealing beer from a Putnam Valley business in March of 2014. At the time of his arrest, Mr. Bullis was under the supervision of the New York State Division of Parole. Mr. Bullis was released in his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Putnam Valley Justice Court on March 3, 2015 to answer the charges.

If found guilty of the misdemeanor charges, the defendant could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.00 for each charge.
