Troopers Catch Burglar Fleeing Wurtsboro Home

PRESS RELEASE

         On Sunday April 3, 2016 at approximately 2:00pm, State Police received a report of a burglary in progress at a home in Wurtsboro Hills, NY.  Responding Troopers observed a male subject fleeing from the rear of the residence.  Steven Manny, age 32 of Bloomingburg was taken into custody without incident after a short foot pursuit.  An investigation determined that Manny forced entry into the home through a rear sliding glass door.  He exited the residence by jumping out a second story window.

Manny was charged with Burglary 2nd Degree, a felony.  He was arraigned in the Town of Mamakating Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail with no bail set.  Troopers credit observant neighbors with alerting them to the crime.
