State Police at Liberty Make Weapon Arrest During Traffic Stop

PRESS RELEASE

On February 18, 2015 State Police at Liberty arrested a Fallsburg man for possession of a weapon during a traffic stop on Route 17 in the Town of Thompson. Joseph Lingen, age 29 was stopped for traffic violations. During the stop, Troopers learned that Lingen was wanted on an outstanding bench warrant issued by the Village of Woodridge Court. Upon his arrest, he was found to be in possession of brass knuckles.

Lingen was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, a felony. He was arraigned in the Town of Thompson Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail.
