State Police arrest Greenville Middle School student

PRESS RELEASE

     The New York State Police, at Catskill, announce the arrest of a juvenile male, age 11, from Medusa NY for acts that if committed by an adult would be Attempted Arson in the second degree, a class C felony.

     State Police were contacted by the School Administration at Greenville Central School, who assisted with the investigation and were able to identify a potential student involved in the fire which had occurred during school hours on Monday 03/21/16.  Investigation revealed, the juvenile had attempted to start a fire in the bathroom at the Greenville Central School, Middle School wing.

The juvenile was released to his parents and was issued a Family Court appearance ticket to appear at the Greene Co Probation Department Intake Unit as a Juvenile Delinquent.
