Amenia Fire Fistrict #1 Monthly Meetings

The Amenia Fire District #1 Board of Fire Commissioners hold its meetings on the Second Monday of each month at 6:30pm at the Amenia Fire House, 36B Mechanic Street, Amenia, New York.  All meetings are open to the public.

VFW Post #5444 St. Patrick’s Day Dinner/Dance

The VFW Auxiliary #5444 Route 22, Dover Plains, is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Dinner/Dance on Saturday, March 19.  A corned beef dinner will be served at 5:30pm.  Music by the Rhythm & Brews Band from 7pm to 11pm.  $25 per person (only 80 tickets will be sold).  Call 877-6300 for ticket purchase info.

Town of Amenia Easter Egg Hunt 

Saturday, March 19th at 10am in the Town Hall Auditorium.  Arts & Crafts.  Visit with the Easter Bunny.  Please join us rain or shine!

Amenia Fire Company – Bunker Run

Saturday, June 4th at 10am on Mechanic Street.  5K Race, Kids 1 Mile Fun Run, 1 Mile Chief’s Challenge.  $15 online pre-registration (ends June 1), $20 race day entry fee, Team of 4 or more people is $12 per person (team or company colors encouraged).  Additional detailscoming!  Questions??? The Water Committee meeting for March 9th was cancelled. The next meeting will be held April 13th.

Open Positions

The Town of Amenia is seeking applications for the paid positions Bank Reconciliation Clerk.  Municipal experience preferred.  Letter of Interest and Resume may be submitted via email to townclerk@ameniany.gov or via mail to Town Clerk, Dawn Marie Klingner, 4988 Route 22 Amenia NY 12501.

Lawn Mowing Bids being accepted until March 17th at NOON

Legal Notice has been posted in the Millerton News.  The Town of Amenia is now accepting bids for Lawn Mowing in the Amenia/Wassaic Area.  Season is April 1, 2016 to November 1, 2016.  All bids must be received by noon on Thursday, March 17, 2016.  Specifications may be picked up at the Town Clerk’s office Monday through Thursday from 9am to 3pm, 4988 Route 22, Amenia, NY 12501.

Bid Proposals – Food Stand at Beekman – Due March 17, 2016

LEGAL NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the Town of Amenia will receive sealed proposals per specifications for:
“Operation of a Food Concession Stand at Beekman Park, Rt. 44, Town of Amenia, New York, from April 9, 2016 through November 5, 2016.”
Proposal documents and specifications are available this date at the Office of the Town Clerk, 4988 Rt. 22, Amenia, New York, telephone number: 845-373-8860 ext. 125
Interested parties assume all responsibility to acquire proposal information and forms. Rights are reserved to reject any or all proposals.
To be considered, proposals must be delivered in writing, in duplicate, in a sealed opaque envelope marked, “Operation of a Food Concession Stand at Beekman Park ball field in the Town of Amenia from April 9, 2016 through November 5, 2016,” to the Town Clerk, Town of Amenia Town Hall, 4988 Route 22, Amenia, New York 12501, no later than 12:00 p.m. on March 17, 2016. Proposals will be publicly opened and read in the Town Hall, 4988 Route 22, Amenia, New York at 7:00 p.m. on March 17, 2015.
