City of Kingston man arrested for Grand Larceny 3rd

PRESS RELEASE

On March 09, 2016 the New York State Police – Bureau of Criminal Investigation SP Kingston arrested ROBERT A. NELSON, age 42 of Kingston, NY for Grand Larceny 3rd, Offering to File a False Instrument 1st and Falsifying Business Records 1st.

The New York State Police working in conjunction with the New York State Department of Labor – Investigation Section arrested NELSON for Grand Larceny 3rd Degree and Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st Degree and Falsifying Business Records 1st Degree, all felonies. During the time period of October 1, 2012 and through May 5, 2013 NELSON received $9,080.25 in unemployment benefits. It was later determined that NELSON was in fact employed during the time period in which he was receiving the benefits.

NELSON was arraigned in the City of Kingston Court on March 09, 2016. NELSON was released on his own recognizance and ordered to reappear in City of Kingston Court at a later date.
