Input Sought at Upcoming Mental Hygiene Forums
A series of upcoming public forums will provide residents an opportunity to share their ideas and input about how Dutchess County Government can “Think DIFFERENTLY” about the programs and services available to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
“Dutchess County residents of all abilities can contribute to enhancing all our lives,” Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro said. “With our ‘Think DIFFERENTLY’ initiative, we ask our neighbors and partners to embrace residents with special needs, affording them every opportunity to enjoy life here in Dutchess County — be it participation in their government, access to community services or the opportunity to take part in programs that will help them overcome obstacles.”
“Our public forums are one of the many opportunities we have to meet face to face and learn more about the unique challenges individuals face and together we can plan for and develop creative and innovative solutions to meet these needs,” said DBCH Commissioner Henry M. Kurban, MD, MBA, MPH, FACPM. “Public input is key to ensuring our community’s services needs are met accordingly.”
If you are unable to attend, or if you do not feel comfortable speaking in public, the DBCH welcomes written comments to be read to those in attendance. You may click here to submit your comments online or by email DBCH staff at HealthInfo@dutchessny.gov.
